The BIQU H2 should be a E3D Hemera killer. Smaller and lighter for less money. The only problem is, some of them are lemons. In this guide and test I try out five to get a better picture as to their reliability. The XChange system from printermods.com has just started shipping. THe H2 was a great match with two custom tool plate holes. There are also mounts available below to fit the H2 to a stock machine. The H2 this video started with was originally supplied free of charge by BTT. They also supplied a free replacement. In addition to this, I purchased another with my own money for comparison. All opinions expressed are my own. If you get a working one they are pretty damn good. I you don’t, make sure Bigtreetech supply a replacement. The Ender 3 was a hit, so which printer is best to succeed it? The Ender 3 V2 and BIQU B1 are both upgraded Ender 3 style 3D printers, which have been put to the test in this review. Personally, I prefer the appearance of the Ender 3 V2. I prefer the mainboard and removable bed of the B1, however. Both of these printers are closely matched. Both of these printers were supplied free of charge for review by the manufacturers. All opinions expressed are my own. Today, I will review a 3D printer from BIQU, or better known as Big Tree Tech. If you like doing DIY upgrades, you may already have their motherboard or touch screen installed on your printers. I am going to review their flagship 3D printer, the BIQU BX. This printer has been around for 18 months somewhere between the end of 2020 and the beginning of 2021. It has some of the best hardware specifications among the mid-range printers, and some people even call it the 3D printer for Enthusiasts. Let’s take a look at the hardware. It has a 7” touch screen, so it’s almost like a tablet on the right side of the machine. It supports a USB drive, a standard SD card, and a Micro SD card. There is a Raspberry PI connector at the back of the touch screen, so you connect the Raspberry Pi directly to the printer and use the same 7” touch screen. So, it supports 3 different modes: the classic Marlin mode, the touch screen mode, and the Raspberry Pi interface like the OctoBTT or OctoDash. It came with the H2 extruder, which is one of the best extruders you can get for under $100, and the short filament path between the extruder gears and the nozzle. It has a dual steel gear with a 7 to 1 gear ratio, and even a pancake stepper motor can generate enough force to push the filament, as it’s compact and the total weight is just 203 grams. Generally, the processor of most 32-bit 3D printer motherboards is a Cortex M3 that runs at 72Mhz, but this printer came with a Cortex M7 processor that runs at 400Mhz. The stepper motors are 0.9 degrees compared to the 1.8 degree ones used on most 3D printers. There are 5 TMC2226 silent stepper drivers, and the dual Z-axis are controlled by 2 independent stepper drivers that can use the firmware to align the level of the gantry. It also came with an inductive auto bed leveling sensor, and there are belt tensioners on both the X and Y-axis. The hardware specifications of this printer seem nice to me. I would like to thank BigTreeTech for sending me this machine to review, and with that, let’s get started. A 3D printer with factory Octoprint integration and a touch screen interface? That’s what Bigtreetech is offering on Kickstarter with the BIQU BX. Should you back it? This video is an honest depiction of my experience testing not one, but two BX machines. BIQU BX Kickstarter: 🤍 OctoBTT GitHub: 🤍 OctoDash GitHub: 🤍 OctoDash is compatible with the BIQU BX. Burn your Octopi image, add your wifi details as normal, edit config.txt with the LCD settings from the bottom of the OctoBTT readme, then follow the OctoDash installation as usual. These printers were provided free of charge by Bigtreetech for the purposes of testing and making this video. All opinions expressed are my own. Clearly, Bigtreetech sends printers like this to content creators to promote their product but I enjoyed the chance to test and give feedback. At times I was quite forthright with constructive criticism, but BTT were receptive as as a result the final product should be improved. Some more thoughts: -The first version was bug ridden and I couldn’t recommend it. -The updated version was a clear step forward with all bugs fixed. I didn’t experience any issues on this version. -Print quality is what you would hope. I will put the printer through some calibration to optimise it. If anything, the part cooling fan is the weak link, however the extruder design and breakout board will make this easy to upgrade if necessary. -OctoBTT looks to be based on OctoDash. Both projects are open source, this is all above board. OctoBTT introduces some new features but is not yet polished. In time it should improve. -OctoDash is quite polished and a great alternative solution. Check the GitHub wiki to see the options and themes available. -Assuming the three issues I noted at the end of the video addressed, this would seem to be a really great printer. This is not a review however, my review process is a lot longer and more exhaustive. -Kickstarter pledges do not guarantee a product, please read here: 🤍 -Watch as many videos about this as possible from other creators to get a broader picture Models featured in this video: Rubber ducky: 🤍 Falcon clamp: 🤍 Baby Yoda: 🤍 Ender 3 webcam mount: 🤍 Ratchet clamp: 🤍 Information from viewer Alan: "I sponsored this on Kickstarter and received my printer early February 2021. I was also intrigued with the HDMI connector for the hot end connections. After a number of successful prints (approx 25) of various benchies and calibration stuff, I attempted my first sizeable print .....about 14 hours. I have the unit in a thermal enclosure to minimize temperature variations. The print failed after 8 hours with thermal runaway messages. After a few tests to try and establish where the fault was, I swapped out the heater and thermistor for replacement ones and tried the print again. It failed again after 9 hours with the same error message. Having seen reviews about the qwerky use of an HDMI connector, I decided to run separate cables from the hot end pcb all the way to the control board. Problem solved!! I have done a number of lengthy prints (18-26 hours) and have had no failures. I can only conclude that the very small contacts and contact area on the HDMI is unsuitable for either the heater circuit or thermistor feedback. I did feed these findings back to BTT tech support for there information." Buy quality and affordable filament from X3D. My BIQU H2 direct drive extruder was plagued with the clicking gears that several complain about, although I didn't have any print quality issues so I left it alone except for slowing down my printer to minimize the sound. Well today while cleaning out some filament debris I found what I believe is the problem. Basically the holes that hold the bearings are a tiny bit too large so they are able to wobble in place. This video will show you how to fix that with a virtually free solution using Kapton tape. Hopefully this fix works for you. let me know in the comments how it went.I enjoy reading the feedback. thanks for watching

In this video I did the unboxing, installation and review of the Bigtreetech biqu b1 3d printer Bigtreetech has many products related to 3D printers. This one is Biqu B1 FDM 3D Printer 32 Bit Dual Operation System(marlin and touchscreen mode) and i must say that Biqu b1 is much better than Creality Ender 3/3 v2. Creality has released the Ender 3 V2, similar to the Ender 3 but with sleeker looks and some upgraded parts. BIQU has also released the B1, an Ender 3 clone with many of the Bigtreetech parts that people fit as upgrades to the Ender 3. GH Smart Shapers Boards 🤍 Available on Amazon 🤍 The introduction of Input Shaping techniques has made it possible to print at unprecedented accelerations. Due to the shortage of electronic components (raspberry boards are practically unavailable) and to the required skills, Klipper is not yet a solution within everyone's reach. GH Enterprise has therefore found a solution that allows you to add Input Shaping to 3D printers in a simple and immediate way, without using Klipper and without external host cards such as RPI4. Just replace the X and Y axis drivers with the GH Smart Shaper drivers, add some configuration commands to your g-code and you are ready to print with input shaping.
