Welcome to another ESP32 video tutorial! In this video, we are going to build a simple HTTP Web Server on an ESP32 board with a BME280 sensor. We are also going to learn how to make some requests to it using a web browser. Subscribe to the channel now if you do not want to miss any future video. Today's project is this. An HTTP web server is running on this ESP32 board. If we open a Web Browser and make a request to the IP address of the ESP32, an HTML page will be loaded with the readings we get from the BME280 sensor. The values are updated once every minute. The BME280 sensor can measure the temperature, the humidity, and the barometric pressure and it communicates with the ESP32 using the I2C interface. Check the ESP32 Weather Station project for more information. The HTML page also enables us to control the state of an LED which is connected to the ESP32 board. We can set the state of the LED here and when we press the Submit button the state of the LED changes. How cool is that! In my opinion, this is a very useful functionality that it will enable us to build some very interesting projects in the future! This video will show how to use your ESP32 for creating and updating web pages. Learn how to 1) create an access point for client connection, 2) serve a web page using HTML, 3) make fast updates of changed data on the page using AJAX and XML, and 4) receive user interactions like buttons and sliders for making settings and changes from the web page. This video is fairly detailed and long, but hopefully with the included sample code, you will be able to create fancy web pages that let you update data quickly and allow users to makes setting changes from the web page. Use this technique for home automation systems, control systems, remote monitoring systems, telemetry etc. Send and get data from your web page made easy. This tutorial uses a standard ESP32 micocontroller and the Arduino IDE. Скрипт использует AJAX технологию, регулярно опрашивает Esp32 (выступающую в роли сервера), расшифровывает данные, приходящие от контроллера и рисует разные фигуры. Работа с библиотекой схожа с работой со многими популярными библиотеками для работы с графическими дисплеями. Например, есть методы по типу drawRect(), drawLine(), clear (). Скоро будет ссылка на исходники библиотеки, после небольших доработок. This is a continuation of the ESP32 WebSocket Server video: 🤍 Let's take it to the next level! We begin by hosting a web server and WebSocket server on an ESP32 using Arduino. Next, we use SPIFFS to upload a simple index.html page that we write separately. This page will open a WebSocket connection back to the ESP32, where we can use the page's button to toggle an LED (relatively quickly). Note that we use the ESP32 as an access point (AP) here to simplify the process. You can do away with the access point, if you wish to have the web server on your local network. WebSockets provide a persistent connection between a client and server so that either party can send data at any time. They are very useful in things like networked video games, but they can also be applied to IoT devices, if we need fast control of hardware over a network. It’s a powerful 32-bit processor with multiple I/O ports. 12-bit A/D converters and a variety of interfaces. But the one thing that makes it stand out above the crowd is its built-in WiFi and Bluetooth capabilities. When we experiment with the ESP32 WiFi we generally just hard-code our WiFi login information directly in our sketches. Some people use an external file, but it is just another way to accomplish the same thing. In both cases, our code is compiled and loaded onto our ESP32, so the ESP32 is locked into using that WiFi SSID and password. If you want to change these parameters to use your device on another WiFi network, then you need to change your code and recompile. This isn’t a great arrangement, especially if you want to move your creation to another network, share it with a friend or even create a commercial product. Enter WiFiManager. This great library lets you avoid hard-coding your WiFi parameters. Instead, you use a web-based interface to configure your SSID and password, so you can use your ESP32 project anywhere. You can also add additional parameters of your own, making WiFiManager an ideal solution for both private and commercial designs. Today I’ll show you how to use WiFiManager with the ESP32 (it can also be used with the ESP8266).
